The San Francisco 49ers have everything in their favor to move on to the NFC Championship Game.

They have home-field advantage, their starters have an extra week to rest and get ready, and they have the best roster on both sides of the field.

Nonetheless, former NFL player Willie Colon believes Brock Purdy could be in for a very tough time.

Talking on The Carton Show, Colon predicted that Purdy would struggle because of Matt LaFleur’s sound adjustments

“LaFleur is a mastermind. He’s not gonna allow Brock Purdy to sit in the formation and dink and dunk. It’s gonna come down to Jordan Love,” Colon said.

Will Brock Purdy struggle against the Packers?

“He will! You hate to see it! LaFleur is a mastermind. He’s not gonna allow Brock Purdy to sit in the formation and dink and dunk. It’s gonna come down to Jordan Love.”

He thinks the Packers’ defense will put him under heavy pressure and won’t allow him to just sit in the pocket and dink and dunk as per usual.

Colon believes the game will eventually come down to Jordan Love and what he can do.

Truth be told, one could argue that the Packers have the better quarterback in this matchup, at least talent-wise.

Purdy has been great and very effective, but he’s been exposed when needing to orchestrate a comeback, and he doesn’t always excel under pressure.

The Packers have an excellent coach planning for this game.

The Niners have dominated them in the playoffs over the past couple of years, but the Packers won’t have Aaron Rodgers under center, so they will now have to game-plan for a different gunslinger.

San Francisco should still be able to win this game, and it wouldn’t even be shocking to see them blowing the Packers out, but they will need a flawless game from their young quarterback to get it done.
