Waterbury man accused of waving gun during road rage incident

CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) — A Waterbury man waved a gun at another driving during a road rage incident Saturday that started in Cheshire, according to Connecticut State Police.

Luis Enrique Torres-Diaz, 23, has been charged with reckless driving, second-degree breach of peace, first-degree threatening and first-degree reckless endangerment.

Police said the incident started at 2 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 691 in Cheshire, and then continued into Waterbury. When approached by officers, Torres-Diaz allegedly admitted that he’d waved the handgun at the other driver.

He was released on a $5,000 cash/surety bond
