Derry man seriously hurt in Haverhill accident | News


HAVERHILL — A 60-year-old Derry, New Hampshire, man was seriously injured early Monday after he got out of his vehicle following a collision with another and was struck by a third vehicle.

Police said they responded to an accident at 7:36 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Talmuth Avenue, just north of the former Smiley School. Police said the injured man was flown by medical helicopter to a Boston area hospital for treatment.

No charges have been filed. The Haverhill Police Department’s traffic unit is investigating the accident with assistance from Massachusetts State Police.
